Technical Editor

Experienced in, capable of, and shall perform the following functions: Responsible for editing and production of test documents and other published or printed documents. Provides front desk interface to customers.

Duties and responsibilities include:

* Produces high quality AFMESA test documents and reports to both internal and external customers. Performs technical editing and final proofing of reports.

* Oversees internal documents review process and monitors timelines for timely submission of deliverables to customers. Notifies lead analyst and test director of potential delivery delays before suspense's are missed.

* Operates binding, plotter and printing machines to produce reports.

* Uses sophisticated publishing and printing software to produce documents.

* Documents follow established AFMESA templates and QA routing adheres to established timelines for vetting and production.

* Attends and provides meeting minutes or notes in support of AFMESA projects and work groups. Produces an agenda and posts a meeting invitation to attendees before each meeting and follows with meeting notes within three business days of meetings. Meeting notes follow established AFMESA format.

* Assists AFMESA test directors with simple data collection during operational testing using pre- developed test data sheets and following assessment execution documentation.

* Provides purchasing request package generation and tracking, budgeting, financial tracking and analysis of expenditures and obligations for the contract in conjunction with the PM, company staff analysts and financial management personnel.

* Assists in market research efforts, response analysis and report generation.

* Candidates must have a baccalaureate degree or higher.

* 2-4 years of experience in editing or document production.

* Have a record of DAU course completion in classes and continuous learning in test, acquisition, systems engineering, market research and/or requirements courses.

* Have ACQ 101 Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management; SYS 101 Fundamentals of Systems Planning, Research, Development, and Engineering; TST 102 Fundamentals of Test and Evaluation; CLE 023 Modeling and Simulation for Test and Evaluation.

* Training may be completed within twelve months or contract award or hire date.
